The role Business Controller is part of the Nordic finance team. The role is responsible for Business Controlling in Nordic. A major part in the controlling will be assuring compliance and correct reporting under IFRS 15. This part of reporting will cover the three Nordic entities and at least one other EMEA company.

The job also includes reporting under IFRS for at least one EMEA company to the mother company in Japan. The Business Controller will be part of EMEA center of excellence for IFRS education and follow-ups.

The Business Controller reports directly to the Nordic Finance Director. The Business Controller will also be a part of an international team and have regularly contact with the European headquarter in Germany.

Your responsibilities

IFRS 15:

  • Monitoring of the contract process
  • Combine contacts and financial data
  • Operate the revenue recognition tool (RAR in SAP) for the Nordics and another affiliate
  • Responsible for reconciliation and proactive controlling of the numbers from the RAR tool
  • Part of EMEA center of excellence

Business controller:

  • Coordination, creation and commenting of the business reports for Sysmex Nordic
  • Consistency checks, evaluation and commenting for the P&L relevant KPIs in result, forecast and budget
  • Follow-up on profitability on customers, product lines and item groups
  • Support in budget process
  • Further development of our current reporting tools
  • General controlling relevant ad-hoc analysis
  • Relevant professional experience with a focus on IFRS


  • Reporting under IFRS for at least one EMEA company with monthly and quarterly closings to the EMEA head quarter in close cooperation with the national finance team of the reporting company.
Your profile
  • Studies in economics, ideally with a focus on controlling
  • 3-5 years experience in reporting /controlling in an international company
  • Experience user in SAP®
  • Have experience in IFRS 15
  • Excellent knowledge in a Nordic language both spoken and written
  • Excellent knowledge in English both spoken and written
  • Accurate working style, consistent, and precise
  • High degree of communication skills and a strong hands-on mentality
  • Cooperation with several functions within the organization, coordination and driving on solution orientated proposals
  • Good communication skills
